Steve Scholl has been involved the financial services industry since 2008. Prior to becoming a financial planner with Byron Wealth Management, he worked with a nationally recognized broker/dealer gaining the necessary experience and insight to help clientele pursue their goals. Steve has played an important role in helping Byron Wealth Management, formerly Byron Financial Services, transition to a wholistic financial planning group. Steve’s focus is providing best interest advice that helps his clientele grow money tax advantaged, work toward achieving their retirement goals, protect their wealth, and provide for the tax efficient transfer of wealth to the next generation. Steve, being a special needs father, also has a focus on developing plans and strategies for families needing to care for their special need’s individual.
Steve graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Due to high academic performance, he had the opportunity to serve as a portfolio manager on the student managed portfolio, which is an endowment fund supported by the NIU Foundation. He was also the first recipient of the Thomas L Mann endowment scholarship given to veterans. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and currently serves as the Financial Officer on the local American Legion Post. Steve earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® certificate in 2017. In 2021, Steve was recognized by LPL Financial as a 2020 top advisor and inclusion in LPL’s Freedom Club, which is based on annual production.
Steve and his wife, Heather, reside in Rockford with their four sons. He enjoys golfing, traveling, kid’s sports, and spending time with his family.
